I am just wondering if someone can tell me, Can stress cause you to have a sharp stabbing pain between you shoulder blades, that also comes through to the front right between your breasts... Sometimes can be felt in the arm, but mostly stays in this area...comes an goes... is the only symptom I have...have normal heart rate, blood pressure, have been to ER, had a CHEST XRAY, BLOOD WORK, EKG, and CAT SCAN... ALL NORMAL... Activity does not make it any worse...sometimes feel a tingling or kinda pain in my jaw... but is the only symptom at that time... I have a history of acid reflux... but I have been through ALOT of stress in the last year... 3 Major surgeries in my household in the last year...Money Issues, Employment issues due to injury and illness...among other things...so my main question is...

CAN STRESS CAUSE THESE SYMPTOMS??

Thanks

    • when everything else has been ruled out then its fair to assume its from stress, possibly some muscle spasm

tingling can also be from stress, look up fight or flight response on the net, which stressed people often suffer from

acid reflux or GERD is also associated with stress

you need to learn new ways of relaxing and calming yourself, gentle exercise and long walks help a lot

consider getting partner to massage you, hot tubs, jacuzzis and spa baths are also very relaxing
