I usually have just depression. This summer was extremely busy, money was tighter, there's some reorganization where I work. Basically, the past few months were stressful.

I've also noticed in the past few months that I'm having more and more doom and gloom thoughts, mostly at night while trying to fall asleep. I'm dreading going to bed most of the time because of this.

One of my doom and gloom thoughts is that I'll lose my beloved pets, and when one of them was very sick this past week (for real sick, not just me imagining it was worse than it really was), I totally fell apart.

I just saw my doc - she prescribed Lexapro for the meantime until life calms down. I will also be seeing a therapist for some behavioral therapy to control the doom and gloom thoughts.

So, does anxiety flare up during times of stress?

      Absolutely! No question about that!

A good book for you to consider is "Feeling Good" by Dr. Burns. It helps alot with controlling our negative thoughts.
